Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would like to welcome you to Moonlight Child Care Center. I thank you for choosing us to be your child/children’s care provider. It is my ultimate goal to make my center a place of excellence for your family as well as the community.
I truly believe that in a child care center, the needs of the children are the most important thing. We welcome children and families from all walks of life here at Moonlight Child Care. We believe that all children deserve quality care at its best no matter where they come from. It is my hope that we will be able to work together as a team to provide a warm and safe atmosphere.
Your child’s safety is also the utmost concern for us while they are attending our center. The staff at Moonlight will be committed to providing the best care and safety while your child/children are attending our center.
As the owner, I am committed to educating your child/children in language, math, science and self-help skills that will help them become the leaders of tomorrow. My staff will continue to attend training sessions provided by many child care associations. in order to provide the best care possible for every child under our care.
I am always available to answer any questions regarding your child/children. I welcome any suggestions from families as well as my employees to improve the individual needs of all children in my center. It is very important that we all work together as a team to help grow the quality and development of our children.

Our Vision, Goals & Philosophy
It is the vision of Moonlight Child Care Center to create a warm, loving safe and educational environment for all children and their families. We will strive to make a positive influence in the lives of all children from all nations. We will be committed to providing a nurturing environment for learning and providing academic achievement for success through age-appropriate directed activities and structured play. We will also allow children to learn on their unique level and at their own pace through hands-on experiences. The staff of this child care center will help develop each child as holistically, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. this center will be committed to strive for excellent in all that we do for every child and their families.
Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, secure and loving environment which includes a respect for cultural diversity; appreciates similarities, celebrates difference, and values each person as a unique individual who contributes to the group.
The family is viewed as the child’s primary educator and we seek to foster strong relationships between home and school, as well as, developing community ties.
Moonlight Child Care adheres to developmentally appropriate practices. this maximizes children’s opportunities to make choices (thus empowering children and fostering their self-esteem), emphasizing learning through play and encourages exploration in several areas. Our goal is to provide excellence in childcare and provide activities to enhance the social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical needs of children. We have an excellent preschool program which includes language development, reading and math readiness, decision making, music, arts/crafts and nature.
Children can locate and use materials of their particular interest from distinct areas, such as the block, art, housekeeping, manipulative, language, and music and science areas. The adult’s role is to create and stimulate the natural curiosity of the children and to provide the variety of materials, people, and experiences required to meet the needs of children individually. Loving adults encourage them to listen, speak, touch, take apart, put together, mold, paint, and compute through a range of activities which enables all children to feel successful.
The daily routine is consistent and provides a secure framework in which children can challenge their existing abilities. Field trips expose the children to Columbus’s rich cultural resources and lends to meaningful discussions throughout the day.
The program is designed to provide a foundation for the child’s success in later school years by allowing children to feel successful in their early years.

Moonlight Child Care Center will employ the number of staff needed to meet and/or exceed ODJFS staff/child ratios for the center. Our staff will also be assigned regular hours to provide the children with a consistent environment with activities and curriculums that provide a holistic approach to child development.

A Safe Environment For Your Children To Learn & Grow

Your child’s safety is of our utmost concern. We take precautions such as locking the doors at all times and utilize technology to further monitor room activity. Our parent in and out policy has allowed us to keep the facility safe for your child.
In addition, our daycare has child proofed all surrounding areas, has staff training in First Aid and CPR and we make sure that safety is a part of our cutlure.

Moonlight Child Care Center provides nutritional catered meals. In consideration of allergies and licensing requirements “absolutely no food can be brought into the center, with the exception of Infant/Toddler rooms”.

Breakfast 8:30am-9am | Lunch: 11am-11:30am | PM Snack 3:30pm

Private Pay & PFCC Are Accepted
Rates
Moonlight Child Care Center will serve private-pay and PFCC parents. To provide equal pricing to our private pay clients, we will use the ODJFS guidelines as a pay scale for our private pay (tuition) parents. These rates will change on a yearly basis consistent with ODJFS rates. Please contact center Director for current private pay rates.
The PFCC parent subsidy qualifcations are based on ODJFS guidelines.
